Training Needs Specific to Wind Energy

The nature of the wind turbine design requires specialized access solutions (cranes, suspended platforms, rope access even helicopter for offshore) which in turn must have pertinent safe work and rescue procedures that are specific to task.

ENSA professionals work directly with employees and managers in designing, developing, deploying and delivering (4D) world-class training that results in a safety culture that supports the corporate mission. A fully customized program tailored to each client and their unique needs.

As part of our training program development we encourage members of the company’s training department to participate in the design, development and validation of specialized courses and programs ensuring all task-specific needs are met. Under ANSI Z490.1 ENSA programs are developed around continuous 360º evaluation process ensuring effective instructional content, resources and presentation.

ENSA Projects -Within the wind Industry, access to a turbine must be granted with a full understanding of the complexities and limitations the environment presents. One of the primary
requirements for granting access to a turbine must be the employee’s proficiency in conducting emergency rescue.

ENSA projects approach is not specific to any one particular means of access, but to an approach that emphasizes the correct means of access, that is suitable to the immediate environment.

Understanding the relationship between safety and performance and the importance of ensuring that risks are kept as low as reasonably practicable is fundamental to the ENSA approach. As Site Safety Professionals, ENSA technicians implement documented and controlled safe work procedures that address all safe access and rescue needs based on the means of access required and the skills and abilities of those authorized to carry out the operational tasks.

ENSA offers organizations flexible training and support solutions for projects carried out at height. Safety supervisors & lead safety technicians can ensure organizations contractor and sub-contractor safety compliance and education.

Suspended Platform – The collaboration between Safway’s new wind specific stages, World Wind Services extensive technical abilities and ENSA’s rope access and safety compliance management is delivering projects on time, on budget, and done right the first time.

Personal Evacuation Technology – ENSA and Deus Rescue are jointly developing a sea change in super lightweight personal evacuation technology and methodology.

Wind Tech Colleges and ENSA Programs – Technical Colleges are partnering with ENSA North America using ENSA courses for their height safety and confined space components. Graduates enter the work force ENSA certified with strong practical skills and safety culture awareness that stresses re-certification and the acquisition of new skills throughout their wind tech working life.

ENSA trainers assist managers committed to the development of an effective Occupational Safety Program.
